A non-refundable design retainer of $250-$500 is due prior to the commencement of the design process.

The Design Retainer marks the beginning of your journey down the rabbit hole of creativity, acting as a nonrefundable fee that contributes toward the final artwork cost. With your input, including ideas, photos, and space measurements, our team at Wonderland Whimsy embarks on transforming your vision into a custom design that’s curiouser and curiouser! Emphasizing the pivotal role of the design in the mural creation process, we meticulously craft a design that serves as the foundation for your beautiful mural. This process, although longer than the mural painting itself, is the essential magic that ensures your wonderland comes to life exactly as you’ve dreamed it.

Inclusions in the Design

Upon entering our creative wonderland, you will receive a complete design based on your concepts and inspirations. We provide one round of major revisions as part of our standard offering. Any subsequent revisions will incur an additional charge, ranging from $100 to $500 each, depending on the complexity. Minor revisions such as color adjustments or repositioning are inclusive – after all, sometimes a caterpillar needs to become a butterfly!

Design Retainer and Project Cost

The Design Retainer is your golden ticket that kick-starts the design process and is factored into the final artwork cost, determined by the design’s complexity. The design cost directly influences the square footage cost of the mural. It’s essential to note that opting not to proceed with the mural painting will incur a separate cost to use the design for purposes other than mural installation by Wonderland Whimsy.

To begin painting your wonderland, we will request the following:

• Photos: Unobstructed images of the designated mural space, capturing the room’s ambiance and any existing furniture for seamless design integration.

• Measurements: Detailed wall measurements, including height, width, and additional spatial attributes, essential for determining the project’s pricing and overall proportions.

• Inspiration: Your inspirational words, photos, or artwork will aid in crafting a comprehensive understanding of your envisioned custom mural. Your unique inputs will be the key that unlocks our creative imaginations to create an original and personalized wonderland just for you.
